One of the great FREE things to do in the Fort Worth Area! A self guided tour that gives you actual viewing threw out the whole process of printing (engraving) our currency. PLEASE read their website before going, so you can leave all cell phones,...More

We spent about an hour enjoying our observation of the printing floor and learning tons of fun facts!! Truly a great learning experience and mind boggling to add up how much money we were looking at. The gift shop is good, could be better, but...More

I brought my 8-year-old daughter to the Bureau of Engraving & Printing on a Friday afternoon. We went with a group. Going in, I didn't think much of it, but while there, I quickly realized how cool (and educational) the place it. I really enjoyed...More

I have been here twice as we like to take visitors here when visiting us. Not only is it educational, but it is an interesting place. The best part is that the tours are free.

This place was so neat, I learned so much. It was especially interesting to me because I use to work for a bank and to see how it becomes money before it comes to us was really awesome. The staff was also very knowledgeable and...More

This was an interesting self guided tour. I would not recommend bringing young children as they would be quite bored.

It is a nice self-guided tour with the handsets to give you the details of what is happening on the production floor. The exhibits give you an overview of the history of printed currency in the U.S. Well worth the time!

Guided tour of facility. we were able to see down on the floor where employees were making $100.00 dollar bills, huge stacks of them. Can't imaging how many thousands of dollars we were looking at. A fun place to go.

visited several years ago. Fascinating how paper money is created and bad bills are replaced in 50 or 100 bill bundles. Great museum exhibit in the main lobby as well.

I thought they might have had something in the guardhouse where you go through the metal detector. Best bet is to call them: (866) 865-1194 This number is on the website too.

We, and others that I noticed, left our cell phones in our car. We assumed that security was such here that we had nothing to worry about.

The main entry building has metal detectors and they will make you return your phone or any recording devices to your vehicle. They do have lockers, but I don't recall if there was a cost. The parking lot has several... More
