Visiting an original settlement of the German people. Fascinating history. The docent was very knowledgeable, and even called us later in the day to answer a question she had to research.

Staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We learned a lot about Fredericksburg and Texas Hill Country. Loved the old house, barns and of course The Sunday House!

Very pleasant visit here. There is a 10 minute video at the start, then it’s all self guided. We had about two hours and felt good about seeing most of the exhibits.

Superb 12 minute video on the birth of Fredericksburg in1846. Original one room school house with a 3 minute audio which automatically repeats, same for original cabin, store, barn, bath house etc. I came away so thankful I live now an not then.
