Really reminded me of the old five and dime stores. This is the only store in Fredericksburg that is not highly overpriced. And the only place in town to sell postcards for a quarter. Went in for the postcards and stayed over 30 minutes!

If you've been to Dollar Tree, or Dollar General this is essentially what this place is. Didn't find anything that I couldn't find at the dollar tree. Prices are average, maybe a bit higher.

This is a TRUE five and dime store and we had a blast strolling thru and looking at the offerings. It was like a roll back from my childhood shopping at stores like Motts. Adorable!

These old dime stores are becoming a thing of the past (like drive in theatres). You have to go by and check out EVEY isle - they have items that I've not seen in years and items you use every day. These were the Walmarts...More

I had fun shopping at this store as a kid and now I have fun shopping at this store as an adult. They have interesting merchandise, fun inventory, that is inexpensive. It is worth a visit.

I doubt it very seriously. They are a local Texas family. It might be a distant connection however, you would need to ask them if you visit the store.
