If you aren't familiar with Fredericksburg this should be your first stop in town. The staff there is VERY helpful and informative. They will provide maps, directions, recommendations and brochures of places to visit. A plus is the public restrooms on site.

We started our visit here - they have every brochure for every attraction in Texas. Helpful staff. But don't get strong-armed into the videos - they're really long and boring.

Took us half hour to find it (it is off of Main street- not a likely location) but had clean public bathrooms and very friendly informative ladies to help us.

Information Center is located one street away from Main Street and is packed with brochures and information to help organize the day. In addition, staff is very helpful and attentive. There are picnic tables on the grounds and bathrooms on site.

My wife and I first visited Fredericksburg on a quiet weekday in June. Our first stop was the Visitor Center and we were treated to a great summary of places of interest and town history. It should be your first stop!

The staff member who was here was very helpful in orienting us to the lay out of the town, nearby restaurants, museums. There is a short (10 minute) DVD that can be seen on demand and it is well worth it. The facility has clean...More

This information center is full of brochures from all over Texas. They are well labeled and have a variety of things advertised. The lady working there was helpful and had a great knowledge of the area having lived in the area for 20 years.

This is just not your run-of-the-mill visitor center! Probably one of the most nicest visitors centers I've ever visited. The lady behind the counter was SUPER nice and helpful. The short 10 minute video shown in the comfortable auditorium provided unique info about Fredericksburg. There...More

Oh, I don't remember that. I was there over the weekdays. They might be online too.
