This is a very interesting place to visit. A superb collection of aircraft mostly from WWII era. What sets this place apart is that nearly all these planes are still air worthy and flyable. Everything is do real as every radial engine has a strategically placed oil pans to catch run thru as required for operational radial engines. They were... More

Awesome place for history and aviation enthusiasts. The aircraft were beautiful, and the information was well delivered.

I don't know plane from plane, but I have been twice with people who know and love planes. Many of the planes have undergone major overhauls since Hurricane Ike in 2008. Very clean and appealing. Large gift shop and clean bathrooms. Parking right outside the door.

If you like vintage planes there is an assortment of them... The gift shop/entry was very unappealing.

The Flight Museum was very educational. We loved seeing all of the old planes. We will definitely return with our grandchildren. The staff was very friendly and answered any questions we had.

Visited one weekday morning and had much of the museum to myself. Some outstanding examples of WWII aircraft (and a few more modern a/c). The B-17G Texas Raider and the B-25 Mitchell were my favorite. These and a couple others are available for rides (check ahead of time for availability). There is a nice gift shop and small artifacts displays.... More

We have visited the Lone Star Flight Museum twice in the last two years as part of a school field trip for ROTC cadets. The staff (Debbie)have been very responsive and worked with us quite well. The discount for groups is also a great deal ($4). They also provided a volunteer to give us a tour and tell a little... More

This museum is fasinating to people who love history and planes. They exhibit the aircraft very well. The tours are self guided. The ticket is well worth the price. We went one Sunday and they were taking the planes out and really flying them. It was amazing to see how they take care of those old beautiful machines. You can... More

Sadly, the museum suffered from the effects of Hurricane Ike, and some of the planes were damaged/destroyed. Thankfully, I was able to go there before that tragedy and experience the museum. I went back recently and although the inventory is less than it used to be, it was still worth the $10 admission fee for someone like me who appreciates... More
