We visited the strand for lunch and shopping. It was great entertainment for a few hours. Ee also drove nearby to see the tree sculptures.

Got to experience all the people and food vendors and bead throwing on the Strand for the Saturday Mardi Gras Parade. Was exciting and fun, despite the weather. Lots of interesting shops and restaurants and theaters

There's a nice visitor center across from the Rosenberg Library. They can tell you all you need to know.

Ditto...didn't see any golf cart tours, just the horse and carriage tour. Not sure the price on that, but it looked like there was a sign on one of the corners.
