The interesting and varied architecture makes this a great drive when there isn't much traffic. Many of the houses and buildings are amazing.

After learning some of the fantastice history of this great city, a trip down broadway will be more appreciated. Many homes and features of Galveston can go unnoticed if our don't have the historical background, so visit a couple of the mansions or museums before heading down broadway.

The homes along Broadway are breathtaking. It's a visit to the past. If you love architecture and design of homes, don't miss it.

There are several mansion one can visit. Most of the furnishings are original. They have some nice quality items in the souvenir areas of the mansions.

Once I wanted to do a photo essay on this street. Then I had a close look: Pretty awful. Auto repair, auto parts, air conditioning repair, bakery, liquor store, gas station, "convenience" store, miscellaneous retail places in really worn out buildings. Wash, rinse, repeat. Shrubbery at several intersections that makes a left turn a life-changing event--you can't see the inside... More

Wonderful street to drive down slowly and see great statues, fabulous gingerbread architecture on elegant homes, and tacky strokes of more contemporary times.

The entrance of Galveston is Broadway St but also the poor neighborhoods of Galveston. The beauty starts at the statue on 25th street. Mansions, Victorian era homes and meets the ocean at the sea wall.

We enjoyed driving on this street and admiring the architecture and beauty of the large luxurious historic homes on this street. Beautifully landscaped too.

This is a historical street with mixed messages. You have some grand old homes and some rundown buildings. Some residential buildings and some commercial properties. Some properties in pristine condition and some make you lock your doors.
