It was great, really. The only thing I noticed was the trash. Other than that and the rain it was wonderful. On duty lifeguards beach, patrol, sea wall public bathrooms, plenty of eats and shops. Loads of fun to have.

Not only are there lots of public beaches, there are restaurants and shops all along the seawall. Recommended.

Lots of room to enjoy the clean beach and play in the waves. Many restaurants along the beach and a life guard on duty.

You may be expecting to see a wall, like a river barrier, but it’s a seventeen foot elevation. If you’re on the beach you can see clearly that the level of the street was raised above sea level. Apparently this was as a result of...More

Not a fan of The Seawall. It was very rocky, littered with trash and debri and felt closed in. I loved everything else about Galveston Island though.

The seawall is a fascinating structure. It provides protection for the island and serves as the main thoroughfare along the coast. Traffic can be a bit of an issue, as well as parking. Download the parking app to make that easy across the whole island.

The Seawall stretches all along Galveston. We were there in April and the weather wasn't that great. There were people surfing but not much else. The beach is very clean and well maintained.

We enjoyed walking along the sea wall. It became. Ore crowded as the week end approached, but early mornings were quite enjoyable

Talking a stroll can be fun, but not much to see, more enjoyable taking in the salt air. Parking costs if anywhere near an attraction, restaurant, or shopping. Forget about visiting a pier unless you cough up some $$.

The Seawall extends for miles along the island and provides an excellent opportunity for jogging, walking or riding bikes which can be rented nearby.

Yes it is a good beach for families. With a very gradual decline, most of the time the water is shallow a good distance from the beach. Yes you can bring your own umbrellas and chairs.

If you can see the lights of the pleasure pier you should have a pretty good view of the fireworks too
