Lots of cars to look at from the outside, but not too many of them are restored on the inside. Collection of railroad china and model trains inside.

Great trains, many you can climb on board and see for yourself. However, she asked if I wanted an audio tour and I said no. They can be so mixed. However, v bad decision on my part. Lack of info around makes you looking at...More

Pleasantly surprised that this is not a traditional museum...I did not buy the audio tour when I arrived, then quickly realized not much written material was available at the exhibits (hence only 4 stars). Once outside, I was bowled over - the museum is mainly...More

Nice museum, decent amount of artifacts and a treat to be able to hop inside a caboose or rail car. One of the cars was closed because of a private event and some of them are in pretty bad shape but overall it was interesting....More

The museum contains a number of vintage train cars that are great interest to those who love trains. Unfortunately, the cars need a lot of maintenance and more air conditioning would greatly improve access and enjoyment of this attraction. The collection of railroad dinning car...More

Wonderful museum with great artifacts. It is oddly located in the midst of downtown so that you tend to pass it by. However, they cram a lot into the space. Pretty impressive. However, the trains themselves looked pretty ravaged and somewhat dangerous for kids to...More

Took the grand kids and they loved it. My dad was a engineer for the KCS so it was very interesting to them. When I was young I could ride for free. Really took me back in time.

Although a great deal was destroyed during Ike at the Railroad Museum, there is a great deal that has been restored. The kids loved climbing up on those huge old steam engines and imagined rolling through the carved out tracks blowing that whistle! Lots of...More

Although the meuseum was not very big compared to others I have been to, it was great to look at and get on all the old trains. The station is a step back in time, and even the old telephones you could use and listen...More

We did not see anyplace to store them so we left them in our trunk until we boarded. Our first time we went the day prior but the second time we just left them in the trunk. Good luck and fun travels!!
