I saw much of the past when I visited. It was a great display of vintage engines and rail cars. I once rode a train from Dallas to Pittsburgh in the 1950's in cars like these. What a nostalgia hit.

we'd already visited Galveston and seen most of the sites, so time for the train viewing, worth every penny. the full sized trains were enjoyable seeing how our ancestors traveled in style and playing with the model trains was fun, as well.

Since my husband wanted to tour at Galveston Railroad Museum. I find that it was very boring for me but I enjoyed to pat owner’s friendly cat.

Nice railroad museum. Great way to spend a few hours!! Lots of displays and train cars you can get into and look around.

This is an interesting museum, with a collection of 6 or so locomotives, and a larger collection of rolling stock, the museum also incorporates the booking hall of the former station which is wonderfully preserved Worth considering as part of a visit to the other...More

Lots of cars to look at from the outside, but not too many of them are restored on the inside. Collection of railroad china and model trains inside.
