We walked along the river at dusk very pleasant indeed. Recommend this in the evening not during the heat of a summers day.

If you enjoy fly fishing the San Gabriel is a perfect place to enjoy. Most of the river is shallow enough to wade and the peace and quiet is the best.

A lovely shady drive led us to a beautiful covered picnic area. The river had waterfalls spilling over rocks & spillways.

This walk was simple and beautiful. The water was clear and worth the trip. Highly recommended for a light hike with a picnic lunch. So much fun!!!!

Except for some freeway noise, you feel like you are out in the country! Lovely small river. Good concrete path with milage signs, water, kids play area and restrooms.

I love running along the river here. There are multiple trails for running or biking, both crushed stone and paved. There are several playgrounds and picnic tables, lots of trees for shade or areas to set up hammocks. There are two sand volleyball courts, a...More

Honestly probably not. It's not like Lake Austin....much smaller and no real adventure. It is more of a get you feet wet with the kids kind of place....
