The place is great for the entire family. For the kids it's an opportunity to get outside, run around, explore the dinosaur valley area. Camping, a play ground, fresh air! For parents a place to take the family that gives everyone a chance to experience an outstanding Texas state park. Pros: Fresh air, away from the crowds of Ft Worth... More

The rangers in the office were very helpful and provided a lot of information. The park is very clean. Offers a lot of trails to hike at different levels. I am not much of the hiker, but the trails we took were marked easy and they were. If you don't enjoy the outdoors or hiking this is not the place... More

This is a very nice State Park. It is well kept and clean. Quite a few great campsites available many of which are shaded. Viewing of the dinosaur tracks is better in periods of lower rainfall since they are mostly in the river bed. We were still able to find some of the the tracks even with recent rains. Great... More

Was driving through town and heard is was an awesome place to visit. Paid the $7 per adult to get in and asked if we could see the tracks without a major hike. Was told YES and that it could be enjoyed with lots of hiking. LIE. Most of the tracks are underwater unless it's a major drought and you... More

I brought my two kids (6&3) here on a Saturday afternoon. It was 80 degrees out. A lovely day. Many picnic tables to enjoy lunch or a snack. We found many paths that were easily accessible for my youngest. There was a water fountain available to refill our water bottles and a store to buy a few fun things. Both... More

Great place for a day trip to picnic and hike. Take your water shoes so that you can get in the river to see the dinosaur tracks. Clean restrooms. We plan on going back to camp there in the spring.

Kids and adults love it. Easy to use maps for dinosaur tracks and hiking trails. Nice little RV spot. Clean restrooms. Most hiking trails are well marked. However some of the makers are faded. Most trails are well packed (traveled). Paths were not crowded. Bikes allowed on most paths. Lake was clean and clear. Beautiful spot. Great for a day... More

My wife and I visited for a day of hiking and exploring - we were not disappointed. The grounds are well maintained and there are plenty of things to see. The hiking trails and dinosaur footprints are definitely the main attractions. While we did not camp, the camping areas looked good - so who knows, we may give that a... More

You must pay attention to markers and effort is required to access the sites...makes it all the more fun! You can easily see all of the sites in one day unless you have small children or are unfit. Camping restrooms and showers are adequate. Camp store is sparse. Camp spaces are lovely, especially along the river!
