We walked in dinosaur tracks, played in the clear water of the river. Walked and ran beautiful trains. Neat experience. Thanks Texas for preserving the past for the future.

I went in the spring time and it was entertaining. Nice hiking trails with mile markers. Some trails lead to a creek and camping sites. I would go again and I would recommend going if you like hiking or swimming.

When I was there it was winter but the water level was pretty low. I imagine there are areas to kayak but I don't think it's by the tracks. The tracks are accessible by walking. The only difficulty was crossing the creek on... More
Shoes... I know you have to wade through water and do a good amount of walking. What would be the best shoes? Nikes? Water shoes?

I wear Chacos. They're on the American Podiatry's top ten best shoes list, they have thick comfortable soles that you can walk on all day - I've done a 7 mile hike in them, and they dry quickly.
