Why they continue to claim that Jesse James is buried here is a mystery. We know here the real grave is and this guy was just an imposter but I guess it still draws in some tourists. For some real life history visit the Acton...More

The Granbury Cemetery is a very well-maintained historic cemetery and contains the graves of many of the founders and famous residents of Granbury. Most interesting are probably the grave of General Granbury, very small and plain, the supposed resting place of outlaw Jesse James, and...More

There is a great view from here. On a clear day you can clearly see the top of the courthouse downtown and the hills off in the distance from the cemetery. It seems to be famous for the possible real grave of Jesse James, one...More

If you are familiar with local history, you will be interested in visiting the cemetery. Otherwise, you will not find it anything special.

Visited the town's namesake Granbury's family plot along with the alleged final resting place of Jesse James. Kids looked up Jesse James on their smartphones and learned a little of post civil war legend. Worth a visit!

Gorgeous final resting place on the top of a hill with great views. The only thing we didn't like was the intermingled old and new graves making it more difficult to look at just older spaces. There is a ton of history here but unfortunately...More
