eclectic modern art

A huge space with a great installation (though closing the following week), but I am sure the next exhibit will also be high quality art.

The installation was beautiful and meaningful. To view or take phots without a glare view from the corners Rice has a gorgeous campus but I wanted more art. Parking was $5.

This show is so stunning that I had to force myself to leave. If you have not seen it (and it closes Aug 31) be sure to stop by Sewell Hall for a visit. I have seen many of the exhibitions at the Rice Gallery. I am never disappointed.

I went to Rice looking for the James Turrell space, which is nowhere near the gallery but I'm glad I went there. There was an excellent exhibit and a great video display.

I took my five kids (ages 7-17) to the Rice University Art Gallery as part of our Houston museum tour trip. We were all swept away by the gallery's expert display of Andrea Dezso's amazing, other-worldly art work, entitled "Sometimes in my Dreams I Fly." Located on the Rice University campus, the gallery itself was a bit difficult to find... More
