Various retail standbys including the Gap and Ann Taylor and Talbots's. A changing mix of food establishments- La Madeleine and Starbucks are gone! 😢 Parking is more of an issue than in earlier days as well but you can still get parking validation.

Originally were looking for a place to eat and I mentioned going here. From being out of town I didn't know what to expect but was pleased. A wide infusion of shops and eateries. Friendly atmosphere. Would go back and recommend.

The Rice Shops are fun and unique. It's a great place to wander around and pick up a few unique items: from food to sweets to clothing. I enjoyed an afternoon exploring.

There is a variety of shops in the Rice Village area! It's easy to walk to from Rice University, and the store employees are very friendly. It's a high traffic area, but worth the bustle.

We enjoyed walking around rice village shops. This is near Rice University. Lots of shopping and food choices are available, go down some of the side streets you will see Thai, Vietnamese and Indian restaurants as well.

The Impeccable Pig meets Gap meets Kendra Scott Jewelry meets the Gaelic Gael meets the Chocolate Bar meets Buffalo Wild Wings. Something for everyone - in a delightful square of shopping blocks. You could spend a whole day - however we browsed for an hour...More

We recently stayed near the medical center and this was an easy drive with fun stores, great restaurants and seemed very safe.
