I wanted show my daughter city hall while we downtown at the Houston central library across the street. We were able to get a great lunch from one of the food trucks that alone the streets around lunch time. A nice place to have lunch and do business.

But, wait, there's more. Right next door is a park where it is politically correct to let all kinds of vagrants hang out and believe me,... More

Go inside and have a look, it is worth it. The security people are very helpful and told us about the free green bus that does the loop around the city.

The renovation of the first floor was completed in December 2015. I have been to several functions in the first floor foyer and it is contemporary and spacious. Out in front of City Hall is a two tier terrace with a wide brick paver esplanade surrounding a reflection pool. The site hosts multiple events and is a relaxing place for... More

It is pretty cool because of the reflection pool in the front. It is really old and an icon of the city. Not much else.

A unique architectural building built in the '30s make the outside interesting to look at. There are a couple of other buildings nearby on the south side from about the same time period. The visitors center on the first floor also make this a reasonable visit. The visitors center is quite large and filled with information for the area (not... More
