I've been to Salento twice so far - for breakfast and for lunch. Both times the food was excellent, prices were very reasonable, and the atmosphere was pleasant. I look forward to going back in the evening and checking out their wine list.

Great place love their espresso drinks and very nice setting, the food i ordered was great other than the eggs which were just a bit undercooked but it wasn't a problem. I also had the fruit parfait which was great! Deff would go back!

The interior is likeable and the dessert/pastry selection is nice. The location is typical, busy, hard to park West University. But I came to get a little work done over a coffee and dessert. Got lucky on the parking. Wifi was good. The almond croissant was large, flaky, delicious. The coffee was pretty average, maybe below average - not great... More

As a neighborhood local, I visit Salento regularly. However, last night was a first for me. Salento hosted a Spanish and Italian wine tasting; 5 wines for $5. If you purchased a bottle of any of the featured wines, the $5 charge would be applied toward the purchase of a bottle. The wines were delicious. I ended up purchasing all... More

We ate lunch at Salento on our anniversary on a friend's recommendation It has an informal, intimate atmosphere. We had salmon tacos that were delicious. In fact, it was hard to choose an item because all looked delicious. For dessert we had the savory flourless chocolate cake. The staff was amazing. They made us feel right at home. We will definitely... More

Everything on the menu is of above-average quality. I am satisfied with their wide wine selection, tasty menu items, and espresso drinks are on par with your average cafe (although there are better coffeeshops in the area). The main problem with this establishment is that the service is extremely confusing. One may think you walk up and order, but the... More

There was live music tonight which was really nice. The cafe/ bistro has a wonderful atmosphere. I met some friends that I have not seen for awhile and and we really enjoyed it. It is a place to take your time. I had the sangria and the empanadas that came with a salad. The food was amazing! The waiter was... More
