I never knew much about the TX prison system and its history, so this was very interesting and enjoyable. And of course, the highlight is Ol' Sparky! Finding out the back story of some of the famous inmates fleshed out the bare bones that we...More

We called in here during a road trip from Houston to Dallas. Some interesting artefacts, good information and interesting details.! You can see "old sparky" too! Plenty of parking, well worth the entrance fee.

The couple who runs/owns the museum were very nice and very informative. The gentleman actually worked as a prison guard at the prison before retiring. It is worth the stop to learn some history and to gain more knowledge of prison life in Texas.
