The park is the perfect size for a 2-hour visit. We took the 2pm Saturday tour to see the brewery and John Rice led us down and into the room where they stored the beer... Delightfully cool inside! Be sure to ask to see the video at the info center. I'll have to return on a day when they offer... More

Wow! What an awesome and beautiful place to visit. So much history here at the monument and the brewery. Awesome views over the brewery, the Colorado River and the city of La Grange.

Nice park and helpful staff. The monument is very pretty and the brewery is pretty neat, although I wish you could get closer. An interesting way to spend an hour or two and the grounds are very peaceful.

Friendly staff at the museum offering advice and insight. Enjoyed reading the historical plaques and reading the names of those who died for their cause, often unjustly. Great view over the Colorado River valley below and a good walking trail system.

The monument to Texans who died during Texas fight for independence from Mexico is very impressive. Their are great views from the bluffs overlooking the town of LaGrange. The old brewery is an amazing example of German immigrant stonework. The trail to the upper view of the brwery is fairly easy, but to go down to the brewery can be... More

This is a state park; no fee for admittance; walking trails take you through the monument area and by the old brewery site; the trails going down into the lower park area were closed off due to unstable ground; the monuments and brewery remains are worth seeing.

Wife and I visit this place when ever we go to La Grange. Always enjoy the quiet serenity of the park and the view of the town from the bluff. Nice walking tour down to the brewery ruins. The old house is neat to walk thru also. Best of all its free to get in to the park.

Can easily be covered in a little over an hour of so. What makes it so nice is the solitude and the beautiful view that looks out over... More
