Went to see Luckenbach after growing up with Willie, Waylon and the Boys. They had a great band playing some country songs. An area to dance, if you were so inclined. Food stands. Bar. General store for some souvenirs. Kids are able to run around and play. Nice size bathroom available. Very laid back atmosphere, but isn't that what Luckenbach... More

It was a nice stop to say been there, done that, got the t-shirt, but that's really it unless you are going to watch a band play outside. If you're going through, on your way to somewhere else like I was, stop in and take your picture. But don't plan on this being an entertainment spot unless you plan to... More

While camping during Spring Break, this was a great day trip to visit. We were able to hear live music in the General store, enjoy a cold beverage outside and meet many wonderful people just enjoying the day. This place is pet/dog-friendly. Hopefully next time Willy will be there to see:)

Take an hour and half ride from Austin and go to Luckenbach. A small place with a general store. A nice outdoor area to get a cool drink. Live music on occasion. Just enjoy a few guys jamming out and the warm sunshine. Walk around. Take a few deep breaths.. Just a nice little het a way.

Saturday is a perfect time to stop before lunch or during lunch. Live music and all the charm. They have BBQ and a food truck with a bar in the back of the General Store.

We took the cross-country ranch roads to Luckenbach, expecting to see a bit of a ghost town. Wrong! Even though it's stated population is 3, we joined several hundred other fine folk in mid-afternoon to enjoy free live music - acoustic guitar and singers under the tree with the local roosters running up into the trees above - over a... Everyone's heard the song and you have to want to see it for yourself. Was fortunate to be there before it got too crowded. Just a great little town in Texas Hill Country. A step back in time and I hope it never changes. I'll let my photos do there talking.

In our fast paced hectic lifestyle it was nice to make a stop where people didn't appear to be in a hurry to make it anywhere. Nothing fancy at all but you could tell it was the place the locals came to daily to share news and listen to whoever might be pickin. We went by at 10 in the... More

We enjoyed our side trip to this little town. It's an easy drive from Fredericksburg and a fun place to walk around. There's a dance hall, small eating place, a hat shop, and general store with a stage out back with some good TX music.

This is such a great spot to visit in the beautiful Texas Hill Country. (And getting there is half the fun). Grab a beer at the back room bar and wonder around the grounds chatting with tourists and locals, watching the proud bantam roosters strutting their stuff, and just enjoying soaking up some local flavor. Music is great and the... More
