We went in November with the grandkids and purchased the grand parents pass. It can be used at other zoos too. We went back this week and feel in love with this zoo all over again! I took a video if the Hippo. He swam right up to the glass. And the tiger was talking LOUD. 😀. We love there... More

Went to the Ellen Trout Zoo with family (including 2 year old grandson) after Thanksgiving. It had been years since we visited the place when my son was small. I was surprised at how many animals were present in a small town. There is a large selection and grounds for the animals that need roaming space. Hippo, rhino, giraffes, lion,... More

Wonderful place to go with groups, families, children...old and young alike. Not too small yet not too big! Great for a fun day outing! Summertime is a bit too hot for visitors and the animals. Spring, Fall or Winter is the best time to go. Plenty of places to stop, sit and rest along the way! Train ride is pretty... More

Very nice zoo with activities for children. The animals looked like they were taken care of. They had a lot of animals for a small zoo.

This is an older zoo and the grounds require some upkeep. The animals all looked clean and healthy and it is a nice zoo. The zoo just needs some updating and ground work. My granddaughter loved the animals.

Don't let the size fool you! For being a small zoo, the variety and amount of unique animals this special place offered was a total delight and a complete surprise to us! The setting is amazing! They had it all decorated for Halloween which was so fun! They have a new addition of a baby lion who was so much... More

This is the best "small town" zoo I have ever been to...they have a large variety of animals to see and a unique setting to see them in!! There is a lot more to see than you expect when first walking in..we were not disappointed and plan to come back very soon..there is also a little train ride that is... More

We've been fans of the Ellen Trout Zoo for years, but recently discovered a new gravel walkway that goes around the pond. It is a great addition and makes the zoo a wonderful place if you just want a quick walk and maybe even a picnic lunch! The zoo is always under construction, always making something good a little better!!

This is a wonderful zoo with lots of exotic animals. It is located in a very accessible location and also very shady with lots of trees. I think you will be delightfully surprised when you visit this zoo!
