I lived in McKinney as a kid in the early 1950's. While in the Dallas area on other business I decided to go back and visit my first home. Obviously, McKinney is a modern, booming city, but I was very pleased that the old square and surrounding businesses looked much as they did 60+ years ago. This won't mean much... More

We went to downtown McKinney for their yearly “Home for the Holidays” festival! Om: Downtown McKinney is wonderful by itself – really is a step back in time to see all the older buildings and houses, with the former updated with businesses and restaurants. During the “Home for the Holidays”, the downtown area is transformed to celebrate the holidays, complete... More

It was our first time in McKinney and I am glad we came in December. The town was so beautiful with all the Christmas decorations.

We visited downtown on a sunny September Saturday. This was a very pleasant few hours, popping in and out of the different boutiques and antique stores, some, admittedly with similar merchandise, most with unique offerings. I especially loved the store with items from all over the world made by people trying to get a better life for themselves, such unique... More

We took an easy, leisurely walk around the Square stopping in several of the shops with my Daughter and our 3 grandsons. We also did a lot of window shopping and checking out some of the other restaurants. Nice weather made this a fun time!

Very nice and quaint downtown area. Downtown McKinney has lots of shops to walk to and nice farm to table restaurants.

It is fun to go to for a few trips but not too much changes. My wife likes to take out of town guests.

It has some nice shopping and several places to eat. We found parking pretty easy. Had a couple antique shops also.

The weather was perfect for strolling through the area. Great places to eat, nice shops, so upscale stores. Parking was tough but close enough that I was not exhausted by the walk. We took part of the self guided tour, and the brochure was very helpful. Merchants were super friendly
