The Heard is on the smaller scale as museums and parks go. That said it is a very nice way to spend a half day. The museum has interesting displays that range from rocks/geology to sea life and mammals. There is an animal area with...More

There are so many different ways to experience the Heard! I have seen the dinosaurs, held workshops here, walked the trails, and enjoyed the exhibits. They feature different exhibits and shows -- including a native plants sale in the spring. The folks there are helpful...More

on a sunny January day to see the Dinosaur exhibit and it was a great way to spend several hours and spend some energy. The way the exhibit was set up the kids could run ahead and still be in clear view of slower grandparents....More

We needed to get outside on a beautiful winter day and decided on a visit to the Heard Natural Science Museum. Our first stop was at the visitor center to get tickets and a map. The fee of $50.00 was reasonable for four adults and...More

When the traveling dinosaur exhibits takes a break they do so here! This is where they come for vacation and repairs. You walk a nature trail where the dinosaurs are positioned in a natural setting. Very fun for children and adults!

I took my 6 year old Grandson when the dinosaurs were on display. He had a great time! We enjoyed the museum and the butterfly garden as well. It is small, but great for the little ones that don't have a long attention span.

It needs remodeling but its good adventure for the younger crowd - its not a "go and repeat" for me and my family but it is a nice place for a contained hike and local awareness.

We love to visit the Heard Sanctuary with our grandkids and visitors to the area. There's always something new to appreciate. The peace and quiet are invigorating.

This is a great place for children - when they have the dinosaurs. But for adults, we were very disappointed in birds and wildlife...there were none! Decided we would have been better off to put bird seed in our feeders at home - we would...More

Get out of the house/apt/whatever...take a nice fairly flat walk around the grounds. From a butterfly enclosure -- a few zoo type exhibits.....dinosaurs...and overall nice "thru the woods" type afternoon or day. You can not go wrong. Seasonal settings.
