So lucky to have discovered the Glyfada beaches! It offers free unbrellas, a changing cubicle and open air showers. The shore is pebbly, so water shoes are recommended. We brought our own loungers and didn't want to leave, it was so lovely. The water was fantastic: clean, clear, perfect temperature, and so calm... Can't wait to go back there again.

What a great place, but bring your own loungers. Plenty of food outlets and boats moving about. The tram backs onto the beach so access is good.

Glyfada Beach is a a nice and clean beach, easily accessible from Syntagma station by tram. The water is clean and good for swimming. The water temperature was high (above 20 degrees in November). Will recommend all.

We were mostly going around central Athens and this place was a good half-a-day getaway. Pebble beaches though, no sand ones. To get here, reach Neo Faliro and take the S.E.F tram towards Voulos. You can get off at any of the three-four stops along the beach. You can gradually see the neighborhoods improving, until you completely leave the graffiti... More

Water clean and beach area can get very busy by lunch time. Calm water good for families. Easy to get to as right on tram line.

Not sure how it looks during summer time but in October it was very peaceful. Although the sky was stormy the sea was calm and the view was perfect.

I visited Glyfada in October, so the beach was not crowded. It is easily accessible by tram 5 from Syntagma square. The ride is between 45 min and 1 hour, the trams are quite frequent. Glyfada beach is sandy, with pebbles at the water edge. Sea is very clean, transparent and beautiful. In mid October lots of people were still... More

Was a nice beach away from the crowds, we went there relaxed and chilled. Near the tram just 1 minute walking to reach the beach

We drove south of Athens to the Temple of Poseidon and stopped here and the neighboring turtle rescue center on the way to Sounion . The beach is really nice and has lots of amenities. There are nice umbrellas and tables to use. Parking is easy in a lot next to the beach. It was mostly rocks when we were... More
