Stayed in this beautiful village for 3 nights, in the wonderful hotel la Fonda. One of the nicest places I have visited in Europe, it is stunning, the restaurants are fantastic and we will definitely be coming back soon. The castle down the road is fascinating too.

Must see :) Pure Andalucian spirit, small and beautiful white city, great for tapas, good wine (La Cepa, Calle Real 4), Plaza Espana is nice and chill out, amazing view next to Iglesia Santo Domingo del Guzman, coctails in La Cupula lounge, Friday jazz music in Restaurante El Muro and Castillo Monumento Colomares. Lots of amazing pictures will be made.

Firstly, do not attempt to walk up to the village if you are staying on the coast. The hill up there is very long and winding, not to mention incredibly steep. A couple of family members did this and were very ill afterwards suffering with dehydration. If you do decide to walk ensure you have plenty of water with you... More

Such a cute, little place to visit. If you want a break from the busy benalmadena Costa then go here. It is very picturesque. You can look over and see the mountains and whole of benamaldena at the top beside the church. We ate in a lovely restaurant called La Fuente!

The old village of benalmadena is only 10/15 minutes away by taxi from the beach. It is much quieter and gives you a flavour of the real Spain. Quiet streets, lots of cafes, local people and very calm. Well worth a visit. Local buses available.

Pretty whitewashed streets and amazing views over the coast from view points by the lovely church. Was lucky to be able to see the Easter Sunday parade which was amazing. Well worth making the effort to go if the opportunity arises. Short bus ride from Benalmadena.

Very pretty and typically Spanish, tiny walkways lined with white washed houses and brightly coloured flowers, all filtering in to a small square. Plenty of place to eat and drink. The views are fantastic! Do not try and walk this from the coast, trip advisor routed it from my location at 55mins walk, when in reality you have to treck... More

Always a worthwhile visit with good eating places and wonderful views. It is a pity the church at the top is no longer open for a visit
