ALL VISITS REQUIRE AN APPOINTMENT. Please contact the sanctuary for scheduling. Saint Francis Wolf Sanctuary is dedicated to rescuing and caring for non-releasable wolves and wolfdogs, providing them with a stable, loving, and exceptional home, with an abundance of loving and compassionate care. We provide all of our animals with regular, balanced, nutritious meals; exceptional veterinary care; safe and comfortable sources of shelter; frequent enrichment; and, when appropriate, human or canine companionship. We do not buy, sell, or breed any animals. We also support educating the public about issues involving wolves and wolfdogs, and dispelling the many myths that surround these frequently misunderstood animals. Through guided on-site tours, visits from ambassador wolfdogs, off-site presentations, and other outreach avenues, we provide accurate, engaging information about wolves and wolfdogs, conservation issues, and the downsides of exotic pets.

I was told (months ago) this place had to shut its doors. ☹ call before you make the trip. This was a popular place with many...mostly wild animal enthusiasts.

Visited with two adults, a teenager, and 9 year olds. While very, very informative and an incredibly nice staff, the sanctuary is very small and houses mainly wolf dogs not wolves.

It’s small with only about 13 animals, but we spent an hour and a half keen on what the guide had to say. “Guide” Dies not really describe this young man’s dedication and love for what he does. He made the entire experience personal &...More

We visited on a Tuesday afternoon and our group was small, less than 12 people total. Our guide was Gentry who conveys his passion for St Francis Wolf Sanctuary very well. Aside from adoring these tall, beautiful animals, we learned a great deal about the...More

Much more than we expected. We booked a tour online after looking for something out of the ordinary to do in the Lake Conroe area. We left the sanctuary in awe of the animals and the work performed by the sanctuary staff and volunteers. Our...More

The people of St Francis are great custodians of their charges. The tour is excellent to learn of the history of the animals and their plight. The Howl nights are fun. Must make advance reservations to see
