Well preserved house. Lot of antiques to please you. Guided tour is worth a visit - free but donation will be appreciated. Sam Houston baptized there.

We were so impressed, we stayed for an extended conversation about the Sterne Hoya house and the history of Nacogdoches - Well worth your time to visit!

This house is mostly original and has been well maintained. It is ran by the city and is free to tour although a small donation into the box at sign in would be beneficial to the upkeep of the house. The docent was very friendly...More

I can't remember the guys name who was in charge but we had a choice of touring the home alone or a guided tour. I recommend the guided tour. The guy did such a great job explaining the history of the home and the people...More

Stopped by during our visit to Nacogdoches. Has a personal tour (admission and tour are free; donations requested. The staff member on duty was very very knowledgable and provided an excellent tour. Don't plan on spending a lot to time here... you can see it...More
