Floated the Comal on Saturday and it was so disappointing. People throwing cans and missing the trash barges, cans covering the bottom. People don't care. At the exit there was so much trash that you had to step around the cans!! It must cost a...More

We went to Schlitterbahn and we stayed four days three nights. We rented a apartment loft. I thought it was expensive but after going it was money well spent. They offered shuttles from the lofts and even from park to park. Loved that there was...More

What a place to visit, small town with lots to do. My family had a great time and we look forward to coming back again. It has something special to it that can't be explained unless you see it for your self.

Fun for the weekend or for a week. Rent a tube and float down the river, camp out or stay at one of the nice hotels, Schlitterbahn was exciting, Gruene was relaxing. Visit the dinosaur museum and caverns. Family Fun!

This town is beautiful in my opinion. Lots of activities in the summer. Beautiful scenery. Close to bigger cities. The rivers and parks and the history, love it.

We have been here several times. They had a nice Octerberfest in town, an "old town", plenty of antique shopes and a fair amount of restaurants. We went out to eat twice. It was very good but not great. Lots of historical buildings and a...More

Very historic town with significant German heritage from the 1830's from the original town of Braunfels, Germany and the Braunfels Castle. Lots evidence of the German influence still remains with local street names that are identical to the ones in Germany. Pleasant place to visit...More

We stayed at the Marriot Courtyard on the Guadalope River and would highly recommend this hotel. As to activities in New Braunfels, the big attraction is the water park if that is your interest. Also Guerne is a quaint... More
