This is a great, historic place to visit. Some theme days are better than others. The old farmhouse isn't always open, which is unfortunate, its my favorite part! This place is definitely worth a visit from some hands on farm fun!

My husband and I visited here this afternoon and took the guided house and farm tour. I have to say, it was by far the best home tour we have ever taken! The tour guide, sorry, we can't remember his name, but, he was a tall, retired 7th grade history teacher, was phenomenal! The house is being very well taken... More

We visited Heritage Farm last year during the fall and had a great time! We pet the horses, fed the chickens, made some arts and crafts and rode on the tractor! It's a fun place to visit during the Fall Festival when it's packed with people and the weather is nicer!

So totally enjoyed my time here. The animals are beautiful! The donkey stated hee hawing when I walked away...so cute. Interesting old schoolhouse on the property that was moved from East Texas. Also, the original farmhouse with all kinds of old timey household implements was fascinating. Well worth a visit.

The Heritage Farmstead Museum is a tribute to the Farrell-Wilson family who built this home in the early days of Plano, Tx. The house was built in 1891 and sits on its original foundation and acreage. Originally around 400 acres, the current museum complex is about 4 acres. The museum complex contains original buildings, like the sheep barns, and is... More

Went on an adventure back in time with my 6 1/2 yr old nephew. (Definitely take the guide tour or forget it!) The guided tour starts with a short video of photos with good narrative about the farm comparative farms. Our guide was excellent; he was interesting open for questions. The main house is air conditioned! Nicely presented, no cheesy... More

The Victorian home which was Ammie Wilson's home can be toured with an excellent docent and the acreage grounds can also be toured which has farm animals, vegetable garden, blackland grasses and flower garden, old school house, blacksmith shop, chicken coup, and much more. Do you and your family a big favor and spend the day here and see how... More

I'm not sure why they call this a museum, as there's only 1 building that you're free to walk into and see historical artifacts. There is a house that you can pay an additional $4 to see, but they only give tours at 1:30, so if you're not there at that time, all you can see is the outside. The... More

The Museum is a nicely maintained piece of history - an interesting snapshot of the agricultural heritage of North Texas, staffed by enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers. Well worth a short visit and cheap!
