Great pier fishing! Rented 3 poles with a pack of frozen shrimp for bait for the kids and was $67. Got there around 9am on a Sunday and still able to get a a spot under the shaded areas. Not a whole lot biting, but some ppl around us got some (using squid). Kids had a good time. Inside had some snacks, individual packaged ice cream bars, fishing gear and shirts. All and all great place!

Probably one of the best places to come fishing with the entire family. You have everything you need in this one spot. Restaurants, bait, tackle, and most importantly, restrooms. Great place for beginners to learn to fish.

We decided to fish there and while we brought our own gear, we rented for convenience. the staff were very friendly and helpful. We fished for a while, getting a couple of bites. Then my wife got a big bite, and I landed a ray. I managed to get it back in the water. A few more bites and she hooked another heavy fish. A larger ray. This one got me on the finger causing an extremely painful wound. We fished a little longer, but I had to leave. We would have stayed longer. The facility was great, and the fishing was good. There were several restaurants. I would go back and wear gloves in case of rays.

Go around 7-8am and you will have some fun catching great fish right off the pier! There are shaded areas with benches to sit and you can see the pirate ship show come and go as well. The store staff is friendly and food and drinks are available. They have live bait when the flag is up otherwise it is frozen bait.
Passes are good until 5am the next day so if you walk in at 4:45am from the previous day then you’re good to go again! 24 hour passes! Very Clean restrooms as well and fishing passes are fair price!

Bay fishing is trash. They stayed in same spot and were satisfied with people catching cat fish. Murphy’s is better. Stay away from this trash!!

We were there mid afternoon on a weekday in January. There were a few fisherman on the pier and not much else going on. It was a nice, relaxing stroll on the pier. We watched a guy real in a fish, saw some pelicans and other sea birds but the highlight was getting to see some dolphins not far away.

You can fish off the pier here or ask around and find a charter to go out on the bay or in the gulf. I found a captain on a days notice, but I was probably lucky. Made a good catch that morning with two kingfish and a trout. Good times.

Had a great time walking along the pier looking out over the waters of the gulf. We were on the hunt for dolphins but unfortunately that day we didn't manage to spot any. The people fishing were so very friendly and answered all of our questions about the catch of the day!

The day we were there it was cloudy and windy. On a nice day it would be a good place to visit. Can see a long way in all directions. lots of pelicans and some people fishing. Only saw one guy catch one. People were friendly. Free if your not fishing.

Open 24-7. Reasonably priced. Good place to go fishing. Lots of room. Friendly, helpful employees in the store/entry. No place to sit though so if you plan to stay a while bring a lawn chair.

It is around $9-10 per person to be on the pier fishing. Then you have your TX fishing license, rod/reel, bait, snacks, water, etc.
