The George Ranch Historical Park's history follows family lines beginning in 1824 and spans more than 100 years. Just 30 miles southwest of downtown Houston, the Park is located on a 20,000 acre working ranch featuring historic homes, costumed interpreters, historic food programs, school tours, group tours, event rental facilities and livestock. It's a living history partnership of the Fort Bend County Museum Association and The George Foundation.

We went for the 1830 Stock Farm Lunch and we had a great time. The food was really good, different, but it was very satisfying. I liked the fact that they gave us a little bit of history before the meal on how people used...More

Loved seeing the little houses our ancestors lived in. The furniture was amazing to see. Loved the little church. The stream and the friendly ducks all around. So much to learn from here. Nice afternoon with bus tour. Great cheap gift shop as well.

We went here last minute instead of one of the many attractions that can be done around any major city with our two daughters (3 and 6). I honestly expected my kids to be a little bored, but we ended up spending over 4 hours...More
