The Harber WIldlife Museum is the creation of Lacy Harbor, a local businessman who owned a very large bank. He and his wife have traveled the world, bringing this amazing collection of animals and artifacts back. He purchased this property a few years ago and built the museum to share with the community. It is a really neat experience you... More

We stopped here not sure what to expect! Far exceeded our expectations. Be sure to get the sheet of things to look for in each exhibit area--it really gave you focus to look & read each placard -- not just walk through saying "that looks nice". Staff member checked on us a few times as we went through building to... More

My grandkids were amazed. It is fun to see these animals up close and personal. They would like to go back.

This museum is the work of a local couple who enjoy hunting and want to share their hunting experience with people who might not be able to travel around the world. The "stuffed" animals are set up in a real life exhibit and give children a realistic look at nature and wildlife in foreign countries. None of the exhibits are... More

My six year old took me here because he had such a good time with his school's visit. Very good local attraction with local owners and investors. Layout is terrific. Even had a scavenger hunt when we went.

Visited the museum with my grandchildren shortly after it opened, and they asked to return this summer. My granddaughters aged 11, 10, and 6 had fun locating the animals on the list provided as we entered the exhibit. The museum is well maintained, and the gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Interesting for all ages, and educational... More

This is the best display of stuffed wildlife I have ever seen. The animals look so real and healthy it is amazing. Of course, you are not allowed to touch, but you can get close enough to see the animal in great detail. I believe that if you wanted to, you could count the hairs on some of the animals'... More

No matter what your personal feelings are toward big game hunting, I found the Harber Museum a great place to learn about wildlife from all over the world. The private collection is beautifully exhibited in "real-life" scenes, with the sounds and calls of the animals [a little too loud] in the background of each geographic area display. Informative plaques tell... More
