The park is very nice...lots of foliage and a small lake. RV sites are concrete pads but electric and water hook ups are not situated to accommodate large RVs. 30 amp electric and water no sewer but they do have a dump station. It's okay but Bastrop State Park has 50 amp and sewer!

Stayed for 2 nights during Presidents Day weekend and have say this is the nicest state park we've visited so far. We rented one of the screened shelters and couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting - overlooking the lake, with trees for shade and plenty of space between us and our neighbors. The shelter was great so our... More

Even though they had fires at the park there are still places to go and enjoy. This park is what has me going back to Bastrop every year. They have cabins to stay in and a swimming pool for those hot summer days.

Great place to grt out of doors be in nature-it's coming back from the fire we had in our County but it didn't destroy the Park. Great to hike, enjoy nature

This "sister" park (12 miles apart) to Bastrop State Park fared much better in the 2011 wildfires, but suffered some damage in a 2015 fire. Please be mindful when camping. This park has a small fishing lake (Largemouth Bass are stocked) with canoes for rent and a grassy bank for fishing. There is also a boat ramp. I saw numerous... More

Buescher State Park is really nice for weekends! Campsites, cabins, a small lake that is restocked every year with trout, freshly repaved roads and nice hiking trails! Always good to get away and this is a great way to get away!!

We camped here over Labor Day weekend. We were placed in Cozy Circle. Our space was very small, even though we were in a popup. There was leveled, paved spots with 30 amp power though. Our site had a fire pit and a picnic table. No shade at all. The bathroom was nearby, but could really have used AC. Showers... More

My husband and I took the kiddos out for a nice drive. We ended up at this state park and it was perfect! Beautiful foliage and we let the kiddos walk around a bit! Loved the views!

We camped at nearby Bastrop State Park which is connected to Buescher via 10 mi scenic drive. Actually wished we were staying in Buescher due to the more abundant shade. Took the kids fishing and had a picnic. It's a wonderful little park.

The RV sites on Cozy Circle are very nice, clean and paved, and large enough for our 36 foot fifth wheel. All 30 amp. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The sites on the other loops are too small for an RV bigger than about 20 feet. The bathrooms were clean, water pressure wasn't great and didn't have any... More
