It’s always clean, but there is a lot of construction going on right now, so it’s noisy and dusty. Lifeguards are attentive and nice.

Aside from seeing my family down south, I also look forward to going to South Padre island and just relax. Sure it's 10.00 to get in but it's well worth it. You drive in and park and walk maybe 50 yards depends where you park...More

First I would say not to park in the first parking lot you see! Keep driving, the road bends around and there is another area where there are not a lot of people and you will have an enjoyable time. The beach is clean and...More

You pay the county fee to get in daily or buy a monthly pass. There are restroom, showers and nice clean beach, grills, picnic facility. Chairs and umbrellas to rent and concession. A great place to spend the day.

It is $10 park at the beach and like others have said it is worth it for campers but for beach goers you can park down the street and walk for free. Not trashy for this early month but spring break is just getting started.

This is a beautiful spot to view the water and see fishermen. If you are lucky a large ship will come by through the channel!

Love the park. Great for fishing. Most of park is Winter Texans. Jetty in Park. Very quiet. Very clean. Great to walk on beach. Ground is mowed and sites are kept up. You have space between neighbors. We felt VERY Safe in the park.

We regularly stayed at the cabanas in the park, basic concrete shelters but priced right at $25 per night in the off season. Prices were raised to $50 per night and maintenance and cleaning has apparently stopped in anticipation of a park wide reconstruction. The...More
