We are spending five nights at Guadeloupe River State Park. We are very pleased with the park in its entirety. The rangers are very pleasant, the site is level, water and electric work great and the bathrooms are very convenient. The bathrooms are clean and temperature controlled. Shower water is hot and good strength stream. The sites are wooded and... More

Spent only about 3 hours at the park. Beautiful river and impressive Montezuma Bald Cypress with very large trunks. A good selection of trails ranging from the easy to the moderate-challenging. The nature center was closed during the week, but it appears to have worthwhile activities for children and adults. On Saturdays at 10 am there is guided walk to... More

There are many things to like about this park because it has a wide variety of activities. You can fish, camp, walk you pet, go for a jog, even try you kayak on the river or just find a spot to kick back and just relax. The park is kept very clean and the rangers are informative regarding its different... More

Went with my kids and our lab. Everyone had so much fun skipping rocks and splashing around in the river. They also have a small playground with a slide and swing set. I definitely want to get a state pass so I can jog some of the nice trails.

Since this park is so close to San Antonio, the 7th largest city in the U.S., I was not surprised by the size of the "day use" parking lot. It is a popular spot for tubing, kayaking, and canoeing. They have 12 hiking trails, 6 of which are "easy", 4 are "moderate", and 2 are "moderate to challenging". We hiked... More

Only minutes from San Antonio, this beautiful park is well maintained and family friendly. Lots of walking/hiking trails and of course the lovely river. Kids and adults enjoy fishing and wading in the limestone riverbed covered by cool clear water.

This is one of my favorite state parks to go hiking and play in the water. It is awesome that it is only 25 minutes away from my house. The trails are very well maintained and you can get a good hike in for an hour or so. I have also camped overnight here and the facilities were close by... More

The campsites had nice flat compressed sandy spaces for tents and lots of trees. We were there for three days and two nights January 1-3. We like the park, but the bathrooms were really dirty. On the 1st, I thought it was due to a full park during the holidays, but two days later, the trash and floors had not... More
