Captain Ron Pontoon Boat Tour

Captain Ron did a great job--kept it light but informative. He appreciates the beauty of Caddo Lake and helps his passengers appreciate it, too.

Very professional tour - history of lake & nearby communities well presented. Scenery amazingly beautiful. Strongly recommended. Advance reservation encouraged especially for small group. Best for Fall season when Fall foliage colors are at their best. With beautiful weather in early morning, the tour is a very memorable experience. Do not miss it!!!!

No Steamboat tours are available. The Steamboat is no longer running, and is docked beside the Big Pines Restaurant. Tours are now on a pontoon barge.

Captain was very knowledgeable about history, environment, flora and fauna of Caddo lake and the connecting waterways. The tour occurred during quiet part of the day and season but there was still so much to take in. Captain did a great job of engaging passengers in discussions about the evolving ecosystems and wildlife.

This was the last thing we did on our vacation weekend. Once on the tour our guide made everyone laugh and got everyone ready for the trip. The best part of the tour was the knowledge that we gain from our two were guide. He had such great information about the history of the lake, how it's changed over the... More

You feel like you're in another world! The Bald Cyprus, the hanging moss, the incredible peace and quiet--it's just hard to imagine until you see it in person. And then there's our tour guide, Capt. Ron, and his first mate, Panda. They were the perfects hosts: friendly, laid-back, and great sense of humor (at least Capt. Ron had a sense... More

My husband and I gave the Graceful Ghost Steamboat tour as an early Christmas gift to my parents. We enjoyed the boat ride, and Capt. Howard was very knowledgable about Caddo Lake and the surrounding area. He answered all of our questions and kept us entertained the whole trip. We plan to take the tour again in the spring when...
