My wife and I visit the Cameron Park Zoo several time s a year. The animals seems well loved by the staff and well presented. We took a behind the scenes tour which allowed us to learn more about the larger animals. Muko the orangutan and the large turtles are among our favorites. Last visit the lemurs put on quite... You'll be surprised at the small city of Waco's zoo. It is an absolute jewel. Obviously private supporters have made an enormous effort to make this tiny perfect zoo so wonderful. Highly recommended.

Impressive collection of animals--lions, rhinos, giraffes, African-elephants, birds, orangutan, lemurs, alligators, cougars and more in a pretty, wooded setting. For the most part the habitats are very natural-looking, although some were less ideal. It's very well-conceived for young children, from the wagon rentals to the great playground and slide that literally tunnels through the river otter habitat. You also can... More

The area is spacious and you have good viewing of their animals and the zoo is clean. Plenty of benches to rest on and they have an nice playground for kids to play.

We had gone up to Waco to just poke around having never visited this town before. Just went to the zoo on a whime and were pleasantly surprised how nice it is. It is on the small side but they have a very nice selection of animals and nicely done enclosures. Well worth a couple of hours of your time... More

I never expected Waco's zoo to be as good as it was. Why had I not heard this? There was a wonder assortment of animals with orangutans, elephants, giraffes, leopards, and on and on. The park is full of trees and vegetation so it's cool and pleasant to walk through. Love it! We had a great time.

I used to volunteer at Cameron Park Zoo, and recently returned. It is a really well run place that can easily absorb one's attention for a full day's outing. The reptile house is my favorite.

Me and my grown family went to this zoo on Veterans Day (11/11/16) and it surprised all of us as to how nice it really is -hands down its the best zoo we have EVER been too! There were soo many animals, large & small alike in very nice surrounding. It was like walking through a very well planned Safari.... More

We went on a Sunday morning. My husband and I were visiting our two daughters who live in Waco and two grandchildren ages 2 and 10. The zoo is set up so you can walk through the exhibits very smoothly and easily. It would be very accesible dor disabled. There is a lot of interactive exhibits for the kids which... More
