Nice zoo for the community .lots of natural like habitat.. several rest areas. lots of shaded areas to cool off in the Texas heat ...go early in the day while the animals are out and about ..they tend to nap and hide during the heat of the day

Zoo is great to visit but is often crowded. Paths are not all shaded in hot summers. My daughter's favorite has always been the aquarium. A large variety of animals and great enclosures.

My family and I visited yesterday. We arrived before the afternoon rush so we had no problem finding a parking spot. The zoo has a wonderful trail to follow that allows for great viewing and gives time to enjoy the animals and exhibits. You can follow the traditional path or go backwards. The map is also easy to follow and... More

Stopped by the zoo early Sunday, it was foggy and the weather wasnt the best but the animals didn't seem to mind, I was really surprised on how much interaction they gave with the weather being so bad, place needs a little cleaning up kind of sad to see people throw their trash around.

I liked the fact that they had a nice walking trail. You can take your time and really enjoy the exhibits.

I have always loved this zoo. It may not be the biggest but it is great especially for younger children. My two year old nephew when we take him, he loves it.

Cameron park zoo is a great place to visit whether you are in town for a short or long visit. The zoo has a lot more animals than I would have guessed for the size of Waco and they are usually outside so you can see them up close. The other nice thing is that much of the path around... More

As noted before, the setting is natural and the layout is easy to navigate without missing anything. The place is clean and well maintained and the animals seem in reasonably good shape. There just need to be more of them. This is a fairly small zoo so expect to get through the whole thing in a matter of a couple... More

The zoo is always clean, and there's SO much to do and see! Lots of walking of course, but it has a few indoor attractions to get you out of the heat every once in a while along the way. It really is awesome and they have the cool animals that everyone wants to see!

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this zoo is. There were lots of interesting exhibits and there were lots of animals to see. We got to the zoo later in the afternoon, so we had to hurry through, but we were able to see it all. It was a little costly for a family, so I probably won't be... More
