Just a few miles west of Bluff, the Comb Ridge is a great hiking spot. I would not recommend it on a hot day as it is exposed to the sun. Take food and plenty of water, a good map or GPS with waypoints, and you should have a great time.

This is a wonderful area with fantastic views. Other reviewers have commented about its quietness, and we have to say that we saw nobody else when we visited this area. A really good spot for hiking.

While this hike/walk is easy, it does take a very long time! Seeing the Indian ruins and petroglyphs made it worth it though!

Love exploring this area. It has great canyons to explore and look for prehistoric ruins, as well as petroglyphs and pictographs. Would not recommend taking any vehicle except high clearance on these roads. Take lots of water.

This is a truly wonderful area, made even better by the fact that there are so few people around. The views are amazing, and the drives and outlooks are outstanding. Trails can be a little tough to find, but the local information centers provide jumping off points to discover great ruins and cave areas. Outdoor enthusiasts wil love this destination.

Great place to spend the day and look for ruins. The cotton woods are still changing colors. Not many people during the week.

Hiking the trails along comb ridge and cedar mesa was a first, and an absolutely fabulous experience. For one, there were few people hiking and the trails were not well marked...making this an experience we used to have in our national parks. Now that our parks are overrun with visitors making the traiils seem like traffic jams, this entire area,... More

Almost all the drainages coming out of the comb and flowing easterly have something to see in them as well as enjoying the solitude.

It's dusty, remote, pristine and a treasure trove of ancient relics. Petroglyphs, pictoglyphs, pottery chards and ruins from an ancient civilization are common.

One of the many beautiful geological landmarks of the Cedar Mesa area, best picture time is in the morning or evening when sun is low.
