an interesting place to visit. although it did not erupt while I was there, the surrounding terraces were fascinating to see. Also in the same area was an abandoned missile base from the 1970s, New Area 51.

This man made geyser is a fun little visit, but most likely you will not see it "go off", and by going off I mean spit and gurgle. This geyser used to spew as high as 100ft I have heard the locals say. but time...More

Follow the Frontage road on the south side of I-70 east of Green River. Make a right turn when the road narrows. There is a wooden sign that says Crystal Geyser. Maybe a 15 minute drive. Geyser was continuously bubbling out a rusty pipe about...More

Since the geyser cold water eruptions are infrequent and totally random, you will not likely to see one on a short stop. But, the mineral formations you will see are well worth the visit. Great photo opps!

I'm glad we drove in to see the area but I wouldn't do it again. Since the geyser is unpredictable and doesn't go off very often there isn't much to do but stare at it.

We planned on stopping by for a quick 30 minutes before heading out to other activities. Instead our kids were so enthralled by the site that we stayed for about 4 hours. We didn't get to see it actually erupt, but it was bubbling and...More

I have stayed there a couple of times now on the night before starting a Labyrinth Canyon float. I have still not been lucky enough to see the geyser go off. Although it had shot up about 3 feet on both occasions. But I still...More
