This 65 mile paved byway from Kamas, UT to the WY border is my favorite alpine drive in Utah and one of my favorites any where in the US. It has it all-wildlife, waterfalls, panoramic views, lots of mountain lakes, snow-capped mountains, wilderness, forests, and...More

This is the drive for you if you love beautiful scenery, lakes, streams, waterfalls and mountains. Took the drive on a cold autumn day and loved every minute of it.

Wish we had taken more time to explore the lakes and falls and other places along this byway. Definitely worth stretching a short drive out into a days worth of play.

This area is amazing. There are tons of lakes, streams, and hikes. However, it was packed with people. Every parking lot, campground, and lake was completely full.

Lakes, peaks, falls, and hiking. This drive demands an all day allocation of time. Better yet, find a great campground from among the many incredible sites and make a long weekend of it.

I would allow your self about 2 hrs or so - a little over an hour to just drive straight thru.
