Can't say we saw pink sand during the early time we were there but definitely got a workout climbing up and did get to see golden sand and a lot of little paw prints.

We are not from the area or into ATVs, but this is a nice place for a short stop if you are in the aria. We got some nice pictures and some exercise walking up and down the dunes.

Stopped by to see this on a day when we weren't hitting the big national parks in the area. I was very surprised with what I saw! I've never seen sand that color or as fine...felt like silica! I'd definitely go there again...and walk the...More

The color is beautiful and the sand is so different from what we're used to on the Gulf Coast. It feels like talcum powder, no grit at all.

Went to see the dunes and we were really impressed. You can climb the big one, which is around 100 feet, but we didn't. We followed the educational trail and found the information boards really interesting and some were amusing, too. It was a lovely...More

This place was amazing. The size of the dunes was unbelievable. I loved walking through the sand and watching the cyclists.

This was a great park. Not real big, but great for a trip, and beautiful drive. The dunes are beautiful, very accessible, fun to walk in bare feet (at least this time of year!). Good place for kids to play.

Mostly for off road vehicles, but it is worth the drive to view these dunes, and if so inclined, walk out on them.

We came in from 89 on 43 and then back on Hancock Rod. They were all paved (if narrow) not sure about 43 the other way. Maybe call the park office and ask them? (435) 648-2800
