We backpacked in with our two pups and stayed one night. The hike in was very easy. It’s dry up there and our pups needed some stops along the way to drink. The way back was hot and dry and we had to take double...More

Have done this hike a few times over the years. It is 3.8 miles each way, and a gradual climb from trail head at Tony Grove Lake. There are some switchbacks the last part of the hike that drop down to the lake. Easy going...More

We hiked this trail in late September with a dusting of snow on the trail-- its so beautiful! At the very beginning of the trail we watched an osprey circle above us and disappear into the forest.

Excellent trail with great views. Flat for the first part into some gentle switchbacks. A nice hike for all levels!

Been up the White Pine several times, once on horseback and another on a hike. Both trips were awesome. White Pine Lake has Brooke Trout and what a great time. If you're up for a hike or a horse ride try this trail. Try and...More

This is a great place to go to do some overnight camping but be sure to get there early as the good campsites fill up quickly. This also a great spot to stop and take a break when riding the bunch grass trail on mountain...More

It is not very strenuous, good for families (provided the parents are in relatively good physical shape). The trip to the lake is pleasant and the Lake is gorgeous. If your lucky, you will have it all to yourself, but that is not likely unless...More

If you enjoy an alpine setting away from crowds, this little lake is worth a visit. Much less crowded than nearby Tony Grove (where you can park and leave your car), it allegedly has some naturally occurring fish in, but I've never been able to...More
