I went to Hardware Ranch in the Winter. It was fun riding the wagon amongst the elk. This is such a beautiful area to visit. Definitely a Wintertime attraction. Make it an annual Wintertime event for the family.

We have been to the Hardware Ranch 5 or 6 times during both Winter & Summer months. It is a great place to see Moose, Elk, and other animals that roam the area.

What a great place to go with your family or anybody really! It’s fun to be able to get up and close with the elk and see how majestic these animals are. The guides were great and explained everything and answered all of our questions....More

Good place to see several hundred elk loafing around in the winter. The state feeds this herd to keep them out of nearby towns and thus keeps a lot of them from getting ran over. It's cheap enough and the drive up is nice.

The elk are beautiful but during the winter, they stay so far away to really see them. I hope to have a better experience the next time there.

Yes, you are pulled on a sled and there is a charge. The elk usually don't come in until Christmastime or later depending on the weather so you have to just check on their website.
