We were staying at a condo just a short walk away from the Kimball Art Center, so I thought I'd drop in. Most of the building is occupied by working art studios, but there is a large exhibition space up front. I enjoyed both of the current exhibits (ceramics, and photos from "Big Appetites"). The people are extremely friendly and... More

For those looking to kill time while family or friends are on the slopes. Nice, but coming from an art town, I temper review. They are very friendly, though. They often have cute classes for kids. Check online or call for schedule (especially during Sundance, as there may be other events going on.)

We have visited Kimball Art Center several times. We loved the Lego exhibit with the young kids, the regular exhibits any time, and the art festival is a favorite because of kids projects. It has moved recently. No longer on Main Street. Haven't been since the move.

The Kimball Art Center is in its new location on Kearns just a few minutes from its former spot near Main Street. I parked in the back of the building entered through a side door. The main gallery is large with a tall ceiling. There is ample space for many types of exhibits. I toured Beverly Joubert's African photo exhibit.... More

Creative and caring staff who work tirelessly to keep art current and local in our little mountain town. They also have great kids' programs and outreach.

The Kimball Art Center is free and you can look at a lot of artwork and ceramic work! There is a lot too see but you can see all of it within one hour. They do charge a lot of money to buy these paintings and sculptures though! But it was lots of fun and very close to restaurants!
