Driving through town, saw the sign advertising the dinosaur quarry and decided to go look. After driving 14-15 miles on a dusty gravel road, we got within a few miles of the quarry and they have an old beat up sign saying the hours of...More

A bit out of the way to reach but obvious to BLM staff that people who go there really want to be there so they seem to enjoy sharing lots of information with visitors. The site has a covered shed protecting exposed fossils and a...More

A nicely presented dig and on site museum. Continue on from here to the "Little Grand Canyon" of the San Rafael River. These to sites together make an excellent half day excursion on unpaved roads across sage and pinon covered hills and plains.

Really hoped we could visit, but the hours open information on line are totally wrong. We drove out of our way just to find out that they are only open Thursday-Saturday.

The kids really had a good time here. Not too far out of town. Lots to see and some good hikes. The picnic tables were a great addition.

We stopped at the Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry on our way to the San Rafael Swell. They have a small but very nice museum. The quarry buildings are fun because you get to see what an actual dig looks like. We also did the rock walk...More

Crazy long drive to get to, but very worthwhile...Amazing to see "real life" bones in their natural setting. Short walking trail to see more natural wonders. Plan on a couple of hours, mostly for the drive
