The St. George Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm preserves thousands of dinosaur tracks in place right at the site of discovery. Walk through a snapshot of an early Jurassic lake ecosystem and meet the dinosaurs and other animals that left their tracks here. See the world's largest collection of dinosaur swim tracks, and a rare track made by a crouching meat eating dinosaur, including hand impressions! Enjoy our special exhibit room and our Dino Park where kids can dig in the sand to find dinosaur tracks and practice making their own footprints! The museum is fully air conditioned. Bathrooms, water fountains, and a gift shop are available. Well behaved small dogs are welcome.

This is a wonderful museum, and a great place to visit with family and kids. The exhibit is well arranged, with explanations on what you're looking at, and an excavation area that is still being explored . . . something you don't see every day!

We had some extra time in St. George before we left for the airport. We toured the Dinosaur Discovery Site. I think this would be a great place for kids on a school field trip to visit. The fee is $6.00 per person and it...More

Small but well done and interesting for those interested in this sort of thing. Lots of rock slabs with dinosaur footprints accidentally discovered on a farm that used to occupy this site. Educational for both adults and kids. Not real expensive and can be done...More

It was pretty cool. It was actually built on a lake(but the lake's dry now). They have a few fossils and some tracks. They have a little show for kids if you want to watch that too. They also have an outdoor exhibit as well...More

Seems that a Dr. Johnson discovered these tracks while plowing a field. The museum was built over a piece of that land and other excavated slabs are also shown. There is a fun room for kids with dinosaur related activities. There are some mock-ups of...More

My son is obsessed with dinosaurs so we've been to every dinosaur site in SLC, Utah Valley, and the Dinosaur National Monument. Even he found this place pretty boring because it is as advertised, mostly hard to see and identify footprints in mud. However, it...More

A great exhibit to spend an hour or two. Very good self guided tour, but even better when you have one of the volunteer docents or a resident vertebrate paleontologist to help paint the picture of what the world was like in SW Utah 200...More

My kids had fun. They enjoyed looking at the tracks. They really enjoyed the out door area. They got to look for fossils in the sand and play in a sand box.

A different approach from what you would encounter at a natural history museum, most of the displays and information presented are based on foot prints of dinosaurs and other preserved rock formations. Much of the scientific evidence that supports other more elaborate exhibits at museums...More
