It is an educational little place about some of the first settlers in this area. Upstairs is not handicapped accessible of course, but can see the downstairs.

How did these people do it? By faith in God. Carving a homestead out of this rock/sand wilderness is a tribute to so many. This free exhibit is well worth the time. Truly period pieces are freely displayed. And, you'll learn about true grit.

Take a step back in time for both local culture, western living and pioneer history. Friendly staff, easy to drive to, has guided tours and safe parking.

We enjoyed the pioneer home and the insights about pioneer life that it exhibited. The history of the amazing people who inhabited it was informative and enlightening.

I love peeking around in old houses discovering old ways, but this is just an opportunity to sell you on joining the Mormon church, you are preached to from the moment you walk through the door until you finally escape.

We visited this Historic Home after visiting Brigham Young Home. This home is not near downtown St. George. There is easy parking. We did not have to wait long to have missionaries to start the 'tour'. Very interesting historic home.
