Even though I am not a Mormon, I really enjoyed the tour of this beautiful, historic home. We got there early in the morning and no other tourists, so basically, we had a private tour. Excellent guides tell the stories about the house and the man. Great way to spend an hour or two.

Free tours by knowledgeable and engaging guide. You get a glimpse of the experience of the settlers and their belongings and goals. We were non-LDS so we also got information about the LDS/Mormon religion. Very interesting place. Low key.

What fun decor and interesting facts. We loved all the old furniture and stories. Quite a few stairs, but enjoyed it and you can go just on one level and you do not have to hurry up the stairs.

Guided tour of Brigham Young's winter home. The tour is conducted by a church elder and he was very good in telling all about the home and the man. Not all of the woodwork inside did not look original possible at one time they had to repair most of it because of age but all in all it was a... More

My aunt visited earlier in the week and recommended us to visit too because of all the history of St. George she learned. Our experience was a little different. We were mostly proselytized about the LDS faith with a little history thrown in. We completed the short tour and were glad to escape as soon as it ended. I did... More

We enjoyed the beautiful grounds with almond trees and a small vineyard. A delightful step back into history.

We arrived just in time to join a wonderful family on a tour of the house and grounds. We had great guides that told us about the history of the house and surrounding area.

On a quaint street sits the winter home of Brigham Young. The house is in great shape given its age. The grounds are very peaceful as the property is located in a quiet neighborhood in the middle of the city. There was a nice sampling all around the grounds of the different types of herbs and crops that were grown.
