This is a great place to be listed only cost five dollars to go up in the monument and there is an elevator that takes you up. There's a gift shop that has lots of souvenirs of different types.

We've been here before years ago. We also brought our daughter here about 6 years ago. It's nice to return. We love history and this is a nice slice of it. Great vie from the top on a clear day!

You can walk around the monument and read the plaques. There is a gift shop on site but the best view is from the street side, in between the trees.

We stopped by the monument after lunch on a nice sunny day. There are two statues and the large, towering monument. It is simple and well-done. Good for a 15 minute visit.

We saw the obelisk before knowing what it was. We subsequently read up on it. It is impressive and worth a visit if you're in Bennington.

There is no charge to see the monument. Not sure if you can go inside but it's unlikely.
