Long established pottery, with several different patterns. The shop also offers prepared foods like maple syrup and jellies and jams. Wide selection of housewares.

Some of the dinnerware was pretty but the price was too high compared to other potters we've been to in New England. I've found beautiful pottery pieces that I like better and at a more affordable price elsewhere.

It's still an experience, but the place has really changed. What used to be all handmade Vermont pottery is now largely imports.

Visiting the Bennington Potters is a must if you're anywhere near Bennington, VT. We have multiple friends who live in other states and have entire sets of dishes from here, so we'd developed a love for them even before visiting the store. We've never bought a set ourselves, but there's always a unique object or two that we buy. The... More

The showing room was filled with not only many sets of pottery, but household items of various sorts, things to use and decorate kitchens, dining rooms, and living rooms. More spacious than a Pier One Imports and more friendly. Even a resident cat. It looks like there is much more to do in the "factory" in the back where pottery... More

I used to love Bennington Potters in the 70' s 80's and even the 90's. Due to fires and the changing times the personality of the store has greatly changed, the prices have increased significantly. It is still a nice place to stop and wander thru. ..It is just no longer a destination stop..

I happened upon this store while exploring Bennington--which did not take long since the town is really small. There are two sections--one is more furniture and the other is the pottery and kitchen and dining decor. Very impressed with the inventory. The pottery is nice and they have "seconds" at a cheaper price. Can't wait to go back next Christmas... More
